Description of Services

The County Coordinator is appointed and serves directly under the Board of Commissioners. The County Coordinator also administers the Menard County Zoning, Subdivision and Floodplain Ordinances. These ordinances apply to the unincorporated areas of the county as well as within villages that do not have their own ordinances. The County does not administer such ordinances for the City of Athens, City of Greenview or City of Petersburg as they have jurisdiction over such matters. If you live within the municipal boundaries of these communities, please contact their offices.

The County Coordinator's office asks that you contact the office to set up an appointment to discuss issues related to land-use.
