Description of Services

The Menard County Planning Commission conducts public hearings for text amendment proposals (change to zoning ordinance requirements) and map amendment proposals (re-zoning of property).  They act as an advisory board to the Menard County Board of Commissioners and make recommendations on text amendment and map amendment proposals.  They also perform other duties, as outlined in the Menard County zoning and subdivision ordinances.

NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETINGS PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE COUNTY OF MENARD, ILLINOIS

The Planning Commission schedules meetings as the need arises. The regular Planning Commission meetings of the County of Menard, Illinois, for the Year 2012, will be held, as needed. Additional public notification will be given when a meeting is scheduled and meeting agendas will be posted in the Menard County Courthouse and on the County’s website at menardcountyil.com. Unless changed by further public notice, the meetings will take place in the Menard County Courthouse, 102 South Seventh Street, Petersburg, Illinois 62675.
