Menard County Zoning Board of Appeals
Description of Services
The Menard County Zoning Board of Appeals conducts the public hearings for variance requests, special use permit applications, text amendment proposals (change to zoning ordinance requirements), map amendment proposals (re-zoning of property) and to decide appeals of the zoning administrator's determinations. The Zoning Board of Appeals has authority to grant or deny variance requests and has final authority over the appeals of the zoning administrator's determinations. They act as an advisory board to the Menard County Board of Commissioners and make recommendations on special use permit applications, text amendment proposals (change to zoning ordinance requirements) and map amendment proposals (re-zoning of property). They also perform other duties, as outlined in the Menard County zoning and subdivision ordinances.

ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS OF THE
COUNTY OF MENARD, ILLINOIS
The Zoning Board of Appeals schedules meetings as the need arises. The regular Zoning Board of Appeals meetings of the County of Menard, Illinois, for the Year 2012, will be held, as needed. Additional public notification will be given when a meeting is scheduled and meeting agendas will be posted in the Menard County Courthouse and on the County’s website at menardcountyil.com. Unless changed by further public notice, the meetings will take place in the Menard County Courthouse, 102 South Seventh Street, Petersburg, Illinois 62675.
